Lessons Learned from a Year of YouTubing

Project Description

What did I learn from my first year of consistently uploading weekly videos to YouTube for a year?

Starting a YouTube channel was one of the most difficult things that I decided to do in my life. It combined two of my biggest fears; being recorded on audio and video, then sharing my ideas with the world. A year later, I look back at everything that I’ve accomplished and I now see the value in documenting my projects, creating a video about it to share, and using my channel as a journal where I can see my personal growth.

There are four big lessons I learned in the past year that I share in my video; learning to give, exploring alternative designs and materials, finding inspiration outside of the craft, and documenting and sharing your work. I elaborate on each of these points in the video, which I hope will inspire you to start something of your own. Most of all, have fun in your journey of creating!
