What could a modern house in a forest look like when its constructed primarily out of natural materials? This home has a simple design that goes from a gathering space for family and friends to a private space at the opposite end for the owners of the house to relax, work, and sleep.

The primary structure is a cross laminated timber post and beam that lifts the house over a steep hill at the furthest end and supports a low maintenance green roof above.

Inside, there’s a fireplace that’s open on the living room and kitchen side of the walls. Behind the kitchen is a private bathroom and utility room along with a bedroom and office.
